Quinta De Loureiro 1871 Douro Garrafeira
A very old bottle of regional wine from Portugal's world-famous Douro Valley.
Owing to the age and colour, it is impossible to determine whether this is a red or white wine. To bear the term "Garrafeira", red wines must have been matured in oak barrels for a minimum period of 2 years; white wines for a minimum of 6 months.
We have been informed by the seller that this is a sweet wine, believed to have been bottled in the 1960s, however we cannot verify this.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
