Stag's Leap "Cask 23" 1994 Napa
From the Stag's Leap District in Napa Valley, Stag's Leap Wine Cellars is one of California's great iconic wineries. The winery came first to international attention and acclaim when its 1973 Cabernet Sauvignon was ranked in 1st place by leading French wine experts following a blind tasting of top French and Californian wines - The Judgement Of Paris. "Cask 23" is their flagship reserve wine - a blend of the best grapes sourced from their twin vineyards (SLV & FAY) and produced only in the very best vintages.
The 1994 vintage is composed of 98.4% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1.4% Merlot and 0.2% Petit Verdot, matured in French Oak barrels for 18 months.
