product Details

Tignanello 1971 Tuscany 2x70cl

Tignanello is a "Super-Tuscan" by nature of being made from grape varieties not native to Tuscany, and claims to be the first Sangiovese wine matured in oak barriques.

These bottles are from the 1971 vintage - only the second release of Tignanello, and the first vintage in which producer Antinori Marchesi moved away from the strict Chianti Classico rules - becoming instead a declassified Vino Da Tavola Della Toscano ("Red Table Wine From Tuscany").

The wine is a blend of Sangiovese, Cannaiolo and Malvasia; matured in small oak barrels.

Please note there shall be a shipping charge for 2 bottles applied to this lot.

Important Notice

We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.

Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
