La Rioja Alta "Reserva 904" 1989 Gran Reserva
In 1890, 5 families from the north of Spain, each passionate about wines, established the Sociedad Vinícola de La Rioja Alta - The Wine Society of the Rioja Alta. A few years later, in 1904, one of these founding-members proposed the merger of his Ardanza winery with the society and thus the creation of La Rioja Alta S.A.
The "904" range is today one of LRA's flagship wines, second only to the exquisite "890" - both of which are released only in exceptional years. This wine is from the 1973 vintage, a blend of old-vine Tempranillo (90%) with Graciano (10%) which has been matured for 4 years in American oak barrels.
This bottle is in excellent condition: label & foil/wax seal intact; cork/closure secure, no leakage.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
