Bretz "Bechtolsheimer Petersberg" Spatburgunder 2016 Rheinhessen Eiswein Rose 37.5cl

Eiswein (Ice wine) is a particularly decadent style of sweet wine, in which the grapes are left of their vines for an extended period of time, well into the winter, and are only picked - by hand and in the middle of the night - after a suitable period of constant cold temperatures.  The water content within the grapes thus freezes and the grapes are carefully pressed shortly after picking to draw only the sweet sugary pulp.

This very special sweet wine is made exclusively from Spatburgunder (aka Pinot Noir) grapes from the single vineyard, Petersberg, by the village of Bechtolsheim in the Rheinhessen wine-region just south-west of Frankfurt.

Important Notice

We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.

Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
