Cos D'Estournel 1986 St-Estephe 2eme-Cru 500cl
Cos D'Estournel is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, and is frequently refered to as one of the leading "Super Seconds" - 2nd Growth wines of quality comparable to the 1st Growths.
Typically a classic Bordeaux-blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60-65%) and Merlot (35-40%), sometime with inclusion of very small volumes of Cabernet Franc.
Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation. Indeed, this oversized Jeroboam presents a fantastic opportunity to taste some mature quality Bordeaux.
Please note that there shall be a shipping charge equivalent to 7 bottles applied to this lot.
This bottle is in good condition: label intact; wax seal is slightly chipped and cork is protruding slightly - although it appears to have been sealed as such; no leakage.
Removed from a purpose-built, temperature and humidity controlled wine cellar.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit or otherwise spoilage of contents.
