product Details

Seppelt 100 Year Old Para Vintage 1879 Tawny 37.5cl

Produced in a style roughly mirroring that of the fortified Ports from Portugal, this is a fortified Tawny wine from the legendary Seppeltsfield vineyards in Australia's Barossa Valley.

In 1878, Bruno Seppelt began the tradition of laying down a single chosen 500 Litre barrel of the winery's "port" with the decree that the puncheon not be opened for 100 years.  This 1879 vintage Tawny is therefore the 2nd puncheon to be laid down.

Released after maturing for 100 years, this is Bottle No. 248 of no more than 1000 bottles.  37.5cl.

Please note damage to the box' clasp-closure.
