Chateau d'Yquem 2005 Sauternes 1er-Cru-Superior

The wines of Sauternes are produced from a blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, left on the vines until affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the most incredible sweet wine.

One of the world’s most prized and enviable wines, Château d’Yquem is Sauternes’ only classified Premier-Cru-Supérieur, and recognised as one of the top with of Bordeaux.  Owing to their stature, quality and desirability, for the sake of your health and your bank balance, please drink Château d’Yquem responsibly.

Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.  Indeed, this 15 Litre Nebuchadnezzar, from a 100-Point rated vintage offers potential to mature well for many many decades (if not centuries) to come!

Please note there shall be a shipping charge equivalent to 24 bottles applied to this lot.  We highly recommend however, that this bottle be collected in person.
