Cossart No.26 Madeira Circa 1950s/60s
An old bottle of fortified wine from the Portuguese island of Madeira, likely from the widely-planted Tinta Negra grape, barrel aged for approximately 5 years.
Cossart Gordon & Co were amongst the primary bottlers and exporters of wines from Madeira. This bottle was imported into Canada by the Provincial Government controlled, Liquor Control Board Of Ontario (LCBO).
This bottle is in good condition: slight cosmetic damage to label/seal; cork/closure secure, no leakage.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit or otherwise spoilage of contents.
