Ingham "Racalia" 1870 Marsala
An old bottle of Marsala from the Italian island of Sicily. Racalia is an estate about 5 miles northwest of the town of Marsala; it is likely that 1870 refers to the date of origin of the estate-solera from which this Marsala was drawn.
Along with Port and Sherry, Marsala is a fortified wine - all three are made in similar processes: base wines fermented, fortified with grape spirit, then matured and blended in various methods.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
