Chateau Monbousquet 2008 Saint-Emilion Grand-Cru 12x75cl / OWC
Merlot dominant, right-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured in French Oak barrels for approximately 20 months.
Château Monbousquet originates from the late 16th century and is located in the commune of St- Sulplice de Faleyrens in St-Emilion. Château Perse's acquisition of Monbousquet in 1993 led to a remarkable turnaround for the estate that was once considered the underdog of St-Emilion. Following a complete renovation and consultancy from legendary wine maker, Michel Rolland, Monbousquet was elevated to Grand Cru Classé status in the 2006 revision of Classification of Saint-Emilion. Controversy surrounding the 2006 Classification resulted in Monbousquet’s promoted status being retracted, however, in 2009 it was announced that they could keep their status. Monbousquet retained Grand Cru Classé status in the 2012 Saint-Emilion Classification.
These 12 bottles are complete with their original wooden case.
