Chateau Lafite-Rothschild 1971 Pauillac
Chateau Lafite-Rothschild is one of the great Bordeaux wine estates. Lafite was listed as one of only four 1st Growths in the famed 1855 Classification of Medoc - though sister-estate Ch.Mouton-Rothschild gained promotion from 2nd (2eme Cru) to 1st-Growth in 1973.
The wines of Chateau Lafite-Rothschild feature varying compositions of 80-95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5-20% Merlot, 0-5% Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, matured in new oak barrels for between 18 to 20 months.
This bottle is in excellent condition: label & foil/wax seal intact; cork/closure secure, no leakage.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
