FAQs

What happens if my item does not meet the reserve price I set?

If your item fails to meet a reserve price, we still require the listing fee and reserve fee be paid.

We will then offer you a chance to re-list the item (subject to fees for each auction it features) or discuss returning the bottle to you (subject to delivery charge).

When and how do I get paid for my sold lot(s)?

Sellers are paid within 21 business days from the end of an auction, however, payment is only completed if the buyer has paid us.

Payment is made by direct bank transfer and can take a few days to show in your account.

Any banking charges or exchange rates are paid for by the seller.

Do I have to pay VAT?

If you are within the EU, 20% Value Added Tax (VAT) is applicable to all fees and surcharges.

Delivery charges are subject to VAT.

Please note that VAT is not applicable to the hammer price of the wine.

Why do bids start at £5 and not £0?

Due to the governing laws for licensing in Scotland, there is a minimum price for alcohol units. As a result we have introduced a minimum bid price for each item, £5 will be the starting bid for most bottles of wine, but this will be calculated on a lot by lot basis.

How long does it take to receive my winning lot(s)?

Your wine order will be dispatched within 7 working days following receipt of payment.

UK orders normally arrive within two days of dispatch.

European orders normally arrive within five days of dispatch.

The rest of the world can vary dependent on location.

If you need an item faster, please let us know and we will try our hardest to meet your expectations!
