If you are interested in selling online with Wine Auctioneer, we require that all items arrive at our offices in Perth, Scotland.

If you would like to send bottles to our office yourself it is essential that the Sell Your Bottle form is completed and printed for inclusion in your parcel.

You must be logged into your account to complete the form, if you don’t already have an account, you can register here. If you aren't registered yet and still have questions, you can contact our Customer Service team who will be happy to assist.

Once you have completed the Sell Your Bottle Form, you can arrange to have your bottles sent directly to:

Please ensure that bottle(s) are carefully packaged with plenty of internal packaging/bubble wrap in a strong cardboard box.  Wine Auctioneer are an environmentally conscious company, so please reuse/recycle internal packaging and boxes - we would be very grateful.

Please be aware that Wine Auctioneer cannot be held liable for any issues that occur and that shipments are sent at the seller's own risk.

Please also note: In order for your lots to be included in a specific auction, your lots must be delivered to our warehouse no later than 5pm (GMT) on the closing date for bottle submissions for that auction. You can find those dates here.

How do I sell my wine?

To sell your wine you will firstly need to register on our website and then either deliver or post your bottle(s) to Wine Auctioneer; we do the rest! All the information you need to sell your wine can be found in our Step-by-Step Guide to Selling Wine at Auction.

How much is my wine worth?

The value of a bottle of wine is constantly fluctuating according to supply and demand. Wine Auctioneer has many years experience in the wine and auction industries and we can assist in providing you with a valuation.

Estimates are provided using recent auction sale prices where possible. Auction estimates can also be approximately derived from current retail market values (readily available online) using a rule-of-thumb calculation of 70% of retail value.

How many items can I submit to sell?

You can submit as many bottles as you like!

What fees are involved for selling wine?

There is a £5 listing fee per lot. Once a bottle is sold, sellers pay a 5% commission on the final hammer-price.

Conditional Fees

If you wish to create one lot of mixed wines, there will be a mixed-case fee of £5.00 per lot.

If you wish to place a reserve on an item there is a fee of £5.00 per lot.

Please note VAT is charged to commission, listing and reserve fees. VAT is not applicable to the hammer price of the wine.
